Most people head over to its neighboring White Mountains, which we love, too; however, Vermont tends to be a bit less crowded and less traveled, which can be ideal for more secluded elopements. Take a hike together through the Green Mountains, such as Camel’s Hump or Mount Mansfield, and enjoy the breathtaking views. You can also drive or take the gondola up to Mount Mansfield in Stowe if you don’t want to do the extreme hike and still get the breathtaking views.

Visit a Covered Bridge

Vermont is famous for its picturesque covered bridges… well, New England in general is! If you’re looking for the typical New England charm, then don’t miss visiting the local covered bridges.
