Proposing to your significant other is such a huge day in your life. You are committing and taking a wonderful next step in your lives, and it can be such a special one. Yet, a proposal can also be very nerve racking with high expectations! When Cody reached out about proposing to his girlfriend Jess in New Hampshire, I couldn’t wait to help him exceed her dreams.

It was a Tuesday afternoon when I got a call from a frantic Cody. He wanted to propose to Jess and his original photographer plans fell through. Luckily, we made it happen and planned for a nice Friday afternoon.

Being an adventure photographer, one of my favorite parts of the job is location scouting. Finding stunning locations to create memories in for my couples is a blast. Cody had an idea of what he wanted, but I sent him over some other options and he was sold. Artists Bluff in New Hampshire is a stunning location overlooking Echo Lake. They had never been there before, so it would be an adventure in itself.

I also sent Cody a few pictures of cute picnic setups. He really wanted the day to be extra special, “because Jess deserved it”. Seriously, that’s what he said to me. She deserved it to be as beautiful as possible. So I grabbed some decor, a bouquet and a bottle of champagne for them to celebrate with.

They hiked up the small trail to the top on Friday afternoon and Cody led her to the picnic set up where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. They celebrated with champagne and took some photos afterwards. I absolutely adored the two of them and cannot wait to watch their journey from here on out!

“Where do i start? I recently proposed to my girlfriend of Six years, who i love more than anything, and it could not have been more perfect, all with the help of Kelsey.

I was set with a photographer for quite some time, and 4 days prior to my proposal, the photographer backed out. I did some research, found Kelsey’s portfolio of engagement shoots, and knew i had to have her work with me! I gave Kelsey a relatively frantic call, and she dropped everything to help make my dream engagement come true on short notice.

She has a caring and personal touch to her work that cannot he explained until you actually meet her. I believe everything happens for a reason, and i couldn’t be more excited to continue working with Kelsey throughout this process. She will surely be my wedding photographer! True blessing.”
