Before we go into this beautiful Loon Mountain winter adventure engagement session, this deserves a little backstory. I met Marissa and Marshall at an event, and they had just gotten engaged. I remember the first time meeting them and thinking to myself, I have to be friends with them. The two of them were so sweet and kind. Thankfully, we exchanged information and I heard from Marissa a few weeks later.
Let me start by saying, Marissa is a multi passionate woman, and she absolutely dominates. She is in school, works as a nurse, runs a blog and is an influencer helping others around the world. If that doesn’t explain boss gal, I don’t know what does. We ended up meeting for coffee, and hit it off immediately. So much so that I think I invited myself on a trip with her to the Cape…
We just got closer from there and I was so excited that she wanted me to take her and Marshalls engagement photos. After hearing so much about Marshall from Marissa about how wonderful and kind he was, I couldn’t wait to meet him either.
Marissa and Marshall wanted a beautiful, snowy winter adventure engagement session with a mountainous background. They are big skiers, and love to be outdoors, which is why they chose Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. We arrived and took the gondola up to the very top to get the most incredible views. Lucky for us, it snowed just a few days before so we had fresh powder covering the trees and the ground. It was beyond magical.
They also really wanted to incorporate skiing somehow, so they brought their skis and poles along with them. They put them on with their outfits and went down and up.
I can’t forget to mention that Marissa MADE both of her dresses. Yes, that’s right. MADE them. I mean, she does run her own blog at OneCrafDIYgirl, which is all about DIY! They went perfectly with both backdrops we used up at Loon Mountain.
These two are beautiful inside and out and I absolutely cannot wait to capture the day they get married next Fall.
