why elope in the White Mountains

The mountains are a second home to many, and a welcoming space to all. There is plenty of locations for seclusion, while also having opportunities to share with your loved ones.

There are also plenty fun activities to do in the White Mountains for your elopement day. Basically, your elopement in the White Mountains will be nothing short of amazing.

Traveling to the White Mountains

New Hampshire white mountain adventure elopement in the fall

Traveling to the White Mountains is quite simple! The closest largest airport is Boston, which is about 2 hours driving, or you can also fly into Manchester, which is about an hour away. I'd recommend a rental car, because while New Hampshire is small, it generally takes over an hour to get from one side of the Whites to the other.

A lot of people try to fit the mountains into a weekend. There are different areas of the National Forest, with so much to offer in each spot. I recommend at least 3 full days.

Where to stay in the White Mountains

When looking for where to stay in the White Mountains, remember that it can take a bit of driving to get to certain locations. I'd recommend looking into small towns such as Lincoln, Bethlehem, Bretton Woods, Sugar Hill, Thornton, North Conway or Albany.

There are plenty of hotels, B&Bs, Inns and short term rentals (airbnbs/vrbos) in each location.

Where to elope in the White Mountains

White Mountain Elopement

There are so many incredible places to elope in the White Mountains, as I've mentioned. Some are more popular areas than others, but it all depends on the type of scenery you want to be surrounded by and the activities you are hoping to incorporate.

Some of the more popular locations to elope are Artists Bluff, Cathedral Ledge, Echo Lake and Glen Ellis Galls.

But I have many, many hidden gems up my sleeve for my couples!
