So excited to share Martha and Nick’s Kancamagus Highway Adventure Elopement!
Not only are they the most welcoming and warm couple; but their heart for adventure and easy-going attitudes made this day so perfect! They started off the day together at their epic A-Frame Airbnb, along with three good friends (one of which did the bride’s beautiful hair and makeup!) They made it a slow, relaxing morning getting ready together before heading off for their adventure in one of my favorite places in New Hampshire!
Elopement tip: Have friends/family there to help you get ready if you’re planning an adventure elopement hike, or wanting a private ceremony. This can be a great way to involve your loved ones while still have the intimate elopement experience! Nick’s mom made her gorgeous bouquet as well, which is the perfect sentimental way to have her there in spirit.
Martha and Nick chose this amazing black A-frame cabin for getting ready! Choosing a VRBO or Airbnb is a great way to get creative with your elopement experience. Not only do you get more a private and comfortable accommodation, but the photos turn out much better too!
Elopement tip: book your accommodation nearby the night before and for the night of. That way you have a place to leave your belonging and don’t have to rush to pack up. Plus, it gives you more time, before and after, to explore the area more! You can even book an additional day of coverage for extra portraits – formals or just of the adventure itself!
We headed out on the Kancamagus Scenic Byway; making a couple viewpoint stops as we made our way to the trailhead for their ceremony location! It was a hot and muggy summer day, but Martha and Nick were absolute champs at being the adventurous bride and groom!
Once we reached our elopement ceremony location in the mountains, they unpacked their outfits and got dressed on the trail. As they were doing that, we were met with some New England rain clouds that could have put a damper on the day. But we embraced the change in weather, and the lighting made their mountain lookout ceremony spot absolutely dreamy. They said their I do’s just as the rain started to fall, and we had fun taking their portraits amidst the light summer storm!
After we got down off the mountain we headed to this epic gorge! They set up their DIY elopement picnic right on the cliffs next to the waterfall and shared a sweet toast together. And then, in true adventure elopement fashion; they went for a swim! What better way to end your Summer elopement adventure than by taking a dip in your wedding dress next to a waterfall?!
