Narrative Select is my go to culling platform. I am honestly so in love with it, and it makes culling thousands of images so simple. Some of the main features that I am consistently using are…
- The “face mode” where it shows all of the faces in the image up close so you can quickly view closed eyes, or whether something is in focus or not.
- Scenes view, which is where they categorize images that look similar to one another in a “scene” so I can choose the very best one instead of giving too many of the same looking image.
- I can also crop right within the tool too so it will save me time eventually with editing.

REI
As an adventure photographer, REI is always my go to store for my new gear. There are loads of equipment and clothing that I wear on a daily basis that I live and swear by that I have owned and used from REI for many years. A few things that are currently on my list (or should be on yours!!) are…
- A new Osprey backpack: This is what I use for adventure elopements (and all of my hikes!). I use a camera cube insert for my cameras, and then there is an enormous amount of space to put the rest of my gear including my emergency kit!
- Arc’Teryx jacket: I LIVE by this brand. I got this jacket for my trip in Patagonia and I haven’t looked back. I wear it in all seasons, and I don’t know what the heck they did with this technology but it’s literally incredible. It’s breathable, yet also SO warm?! I have it in both black and green, and I’m ready for my next color.
- Smartwool: Literally all things – but always their socks. I have a million pairs and I don’t plan to stop… ever.
- Oboz: A very personal preference, but Oboz are my favorite hiking boot, especially in the colder months.
- Teva: My favoriteeee hiking sandal that I wore all summer to my adventure elopements (and most of my hikes!).
- Salomon trail runners: For the warmer months, I like to keep things light and cool. These are my go to’s for simple walks, or even bigger hikes.
