Hey, I'm Kels!
The story of Kels Converse Photography began with a deep-seated passion for adventure and traveling the world. I was introduced to my new loves through my former corporate position, and it opened my eyes to all of the beautiful places on this Earth that we can experience. I eventually transitioned into elopement photography once all of my friends started to get engaged, and I realized that capturing those moments in the wild made my heart happier than anything else.
Now, I’m here to serve you the best way I know how–with an encouraging smile, my elopement expertise, and my camera. Know that when you work with me (and my people), we’ll dream big dreams and bring your ultimate vision to life.

My Heart Was Telling Me to Build A Team
I’ve always loved to collaborate and work with other inspired minds to create something special. And after working alone for so long, I knew in my heart that I wanted some teammates along for this wild ride.
Mel was the perfect person to add to my pack. Her eye for detail, love for elopements, excitement for adventure, and a big heart has made her the perfect fit for not only me, but for you too!
Meet my fellow adventurer
Mel is a nomad, living in an airstream and also traveling for the majority of the year. She has been a wedding photographer for 10+ years, and has an insane talent behind the lens. Not only is she an incredible storyteller, but Mel is an explorer – traveling and spending her time in the off season in Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as going on week long backpacking trips to enhance her backcountry experience.
Connecting with couples who love nature, sharing and capturing a once-in-a-lifetime experience and creating a wav to forever look hack on such special moments will always be her # 1 favorite thing, and she knows in her soul that this is what she was meant to do.

Even though only one of us will be there on your actual wedding day, you’ll still benefit from the knowledge and expertise of the two of us. We have different specialties, and different experiences under our adventure belts. And to provide the best service possible, we out our heads together for each and every elopement and wedding, because we’re a team first and foremost.

From documenting over 100 elopements and non-traditional weddings, I’ve created a seamless and intentional process to help you design a day as unique as you are. I don’t throw the word “expert” around lightly, so you know I mean it–I’ve got you. With questionnaires, custom-created guides, location scouting, and exclusive planning resources, you’ll have all of the support you need.

We know that choosing a non-traditional wedding can be a little it scary–not everyone will agree with your choice, but we’re here to remind you that it’s okay. We will always be on your side, and we’ll support you in any way that we can.
